About Me and PragueWise.com

Hi!

My name is Dean and I'm the guy behind the curtain here at Praguewise.com.

I'm the goofy guy in the blue hat in this picture. Those lovely people with me are my awesome wife Martina and our two amazing kids.

I'm American and Martina is Czech. We met in Prague some 20 years ago when the rest is history!

Our family

Martina and I have both traveled extensively and we've both worked within the tourism industry in Prague.

But, it might be our children that gave us some real perspective about life and this wonderful city.

Raising them gave us the time and the opportunity to be re-inspired by Prague - to open our eyes and really explore what's here.

We finally walked the streets as ourselves, like grown children finding interesting things, exciting unexplored places, parks, buildings, doors, trees, etc. etc.

And, this new form of exploration got me thinking. Shouldn't I share this vision with visitors to Prague?

So, with that question in mind, I started to share my passion and knowledge of Prague through this website. It's my subtle attempt at helping, while inspiring visitors as well.

This little website is a work in progress, but it's a labor of love.

It's something I am happy to share with you and update as much as possible.

A little Update

Praguewise was originally named My Prague Sights. But in the fall of 2017 I decided to re-brand the site with a simpler name and concept.

I hope this change will make the site easier to remember and share ;-)

Regardless of the name, my mission is still to provide valuable content and information.

I would love for this site to be your go-to guide to Prague. It's an ambitious project, but sharing my knowledge and love for the city has always been easy.

So that's a bit about me! Thanks for visiting!

As always, your feedback and questions are welcome. You can contact me directly or connect on social media...

All the best!

Dean (and Martina and kids!)
