Karl Apartment

Cozy Studio with View of St Nicholas Church

The Karl Apartment is a beautiful, cozy studio located just below Prague Castle. It has a very pleasant view of the St. Nicholas Church, nearby rooftops and Petrin park.

The Karl is just one apartment in the Residence Thunovska. The residence is one of those unique places that will quickly connect you to Prague's history and tourist spots.

Located just opposite of the steps to the castle, the residence dates from 1527. Its exterior still has remnants of original frescoes painted by the royal court's painter.

From here, you can walk up the steps to the castle or down to Charles Bridge in 5 minutes. Click here for a map!

The residence itself offers a unique atmosphere, a bit rustic and romantic - keeping an eye on the past while featuring modern amenities.

The apartment itself includes a kitchenette, private bathroom and small dining table and chairs. So it's ideal for a little cooking on your own or some take-away.

The practical stuff is of course great, but what about the intangibles... the view from the apartment is lovely, especially as the sun goes down in the late afternoon. The interior details of the building, with arched ceilings and Italian fixtures is certainly impressive. Of course, we can't forget to mention the wooden ceiling outside the room. What an entrance!
