We want to visit Prague, and were wondering the best time of year to come? Can you tell us about the seasons there and what the "must see" attractions are?

Best time to vacation in Prague
by: Martina, praguewise.com

Wow, these are great questions.

Our favorite time to visit Prague is the spring. Prague is particularly wonderful in May and early June. In fact, we have family from the States that visit every June and they love it.

But, really, this is subjective because everyone has their favorite time to visit. We've spoken to some visitors who swear by autumn because of the changing colors across Petrin hill and the crisp air. And, of course, others like winter in Prague because the crowds are lighter and prices at hotels can be cheaper.

Summer is always a great time to visit too because the weather is warm and not as unpredictable. Plus, there are lots more events to attend and things to enjoy that are generally closed in other months. So, July and August are perfect for summer fun. The gardens are gorgeous at this time too as well as the views from Letna Beer Garden :-)

The must-see attractions are a bit subjective too, but there is a strict short list that may help. Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, Old Town, Josefov (Jewish Quarter) and Wenceslas Square are the real keys to the city. After that, everything is icing on the top!

Check out our city breaks to Prague for detailed itineraries and more.

All the best,

Martina
