Michelin Key Hotels in Prague: 2025 Winners – What's Your Favorite?

Say hello to a fresh batch of Michelin Key hotels in Prague for 2025. We've got eight standout winners. And. if you're like me, a list of luxury hotels is hard to pass up. Whether you're booking or just dreaming about a trip to Prague.

These Michelin hotels are the best of the best, you really can’t go wrong.. We've got hot spots in the Little Quarter, Old Town, and New Town.

And each one was chosen specifically for... comfort, service, and personality.

So, if you want your stay to feel a little more special, this list of Michelin hotels is a great place to start.

MICHELIN says: "Keys are a new benchmark for travelers, focused on experience over amenities."

What’s a Michelin Key and Why Does It Matter?

You might not know this, but the people behind Michelin tires also run one of the world’s most trusted travel guides. For decades, they’ve awarded Michelin Stars to restaurants. Now they’re doing the same for hotels.

The Michelin Key, launched in 2024, highlights hotels with standout comfort, design, service, and personality. It’s not about how expensive a place looks — it’s about how it feels.

In 2025, eight Prague hotels earned this honor.

These 8 Prague Hotels Just Won Michelin Key Awards

Let’s be honest, the internet is packed with hotel lists. Top tens, best-ofs, “you won’t believe this view” clickbait.

If you’re tired of scrolling through “maybe” hotels, start with this list. The guesswork is done.

These eight hotels weren’t picked because they’re trendy or sponsored. No fluff, no gimmicks. Just great hotels that deliver on experience. If you want a stay that feels like a treat (not a gamble), these are all worth your consideration.

Below I cover details about each award-winning hotel. You can jump to each by name, or head to the map for more info.

Fairmont Golden Prague (Two Michelin Keys)

As I walked by the Fairmont Golden Prague last year, I was curious about its long renovation process. How would it turn out?

Obviously it turned out great. That transformation brought it the only hotel in Prague to earn two Michelin Keys. Inside you'll sleek interiors, soft lighting, and a modern sense of elegance. And, the renovation didn't forget the extras.

  • indoor AND outdoor pool
  • private garden
  • iconic rooftop bar
  • exclusive restaurant with panoramic views

For me the location is ideal. It’s tucked into Josefov, right on the edge of Old Town and the river. So, you won't feel crushed by tourists and there are some real gems to discover in the neighborhood. The St. Agnes Convent might be my favorite overlooked spot nearby.

Of course, the Fairmont is steps from Pařížská Street, with luxury brands and Old Town Square around the corner.

🧭 PragueWise Tip: From the Fairmont, you’re seconds from a sunset walk along the Vltava - without the crowds. The light silhouette's the castle for a beautiful show. Or, head to the rooftop bar for the same view with a cocktail in hand.

The Julius Prague

The Julius combines fine hotel services with stylish city apartment atmosphere. Like an upscale home, but with all the perks of a five‑star stay.

Rooms are equipped with full kitchenettes (microwave, fridge, ceramic hob) and suites with terraces, crafted by Milan‑based Matteo Thun & Partners. I'd say there's a feeling of a private residence here. It's modern, homey, and calming.

The hotel is a stone's throw from Old Town, and very much in the heart of Prague. Personally, I love this location due to its tucked away feeling.

You won't get crowds of tourists parading by, and it's quiet at night. And, if you're traveling to or from Prague by train, the main station is 10 minutes away.

While doing some research on the Julius, I came across this review that made me smile...

“The room (more like an apartment) I had was so comfortable that one day I didn’t even bother leaving the room!” — review on TripAdvisor

🧭 PragueWise Tip: Just steps from The Julius, don’t miss the Jubilee Synagogue. It's rarely crowded and it’s one of Prague’s most beautiful buildings. I won't share a photo so it's a nice surprise, just walk by and see for yourself. It's got a unique mix of color and Art Nouveau design to make it jaw-dropping.

BoHo Prague Hotel

Tucked on a quiet street just a few minutes from Old Town Square, BoHo blends boutique design with warm, low-key comfort. The interiors are modern and minimalist. Think of soft lighting, velvety textures, and a calm palette that makes you want to slow down.

Similar to the Julius, the Boho feels like a private space rather than a grand hotel, and they offer services to match. That combination must have caught Michelin’s judges.

If you read any reviews, you'll hear people rave about the services, housekeeping and the on-site restaurant. I particularly like their perks...

  • wellness area with small pool and sauna
  • fitness center
  • library lounge
  • free welcome drink when booking direct

🧭 PragueWise Tip: BoHo is ideal if you want to be close to everything but still have space to breathe. Grab breakfast in the quiet courtyard, then walk five minutes into the buzz of Old Town — it’s the best of both worlds.

Four Seasons Hotel Prague

I’m not surprised by this winner. The Four Seasons is one of the most timeless and well-located Michelin Key hotels in Prague. You can't go wrong.

I've been recommending this hotel for years. The Four Seasons' consistency for exclusive service, outstanding location and elegance has always set it apart.

A lot of hotels boast a prime location. But, the Four Seasons Prague is truly unmatched for its Old Town spot. It sits right on the Vltava River, literally just steps from Charles Bridge.

ou get postcard views from many of the rooms and the collection of architecture makes for a remarkable setting. There's Baroque, Renaissance, and modern all under one elegant roof. It feels classic, but never stuffy.

What else stands out?

You always get excellent service. I'd say it's the hotel that is future-present. Always thinking slightly ahead of your needs, one step ahead, which is the epitome of a luxury hotel. Your stay becomes effortless.

And, that's how you get a Michelin Key award.

🧭 PragueWise Tip: Ask for a river-facing room on a higher floor for some of the best hotel views in Prague. Watch how the sun lights up the castle and Charles Bridge in the morning. And if you’re not staying here? Book a drink at their riverside terrace bar and take in the same view.

Augustine, a Luxury Collection Hotel

I absolutely adore the Augustine.

It's located in one of my favorite areas of Prague, and it’s totally hidden away. Oh, and it's part of a still-functioning 13th-century monastery.

But that’s just the start. A few details worth mentioning:

  • rooms blend old and new — some with vaulted ceilings, arched windows, or original frescoes
  • the stone-walled brewery bar is set in a former monastic refectory
  • there’s a peaceful courtyard garden for reading, coffee, or doing nothing at all

If you’re the kind of traveler who likes your luxury with a side of slow grace, this might be your perfect match. It’s easy to see why Michelin gave it a Key.

Of course, the location is excellent as well. The Augustine is tucked just below Prague Castle and only a few quiet steps from Charles Bridge.

🧭 PragueWise Tip: Don’t miss a walk across Charles Bridge in the early morning before the city wakes up — it’s a memory that stays with you. Want another hidden gem? Wallenstein Garden is just around the corner and often skipped by visitors.

All these Michelin Key hotels in Prague are centrally located, making it easy to explore Prague’s hidden gems. Want to know what’s nearby? Check out my custom map to some favorite spots. From quiet gardens to odd statues, and everything in between.

Almanac X Alcron Prague

This one’s for the design lovers. Almanac X Alcron is a bold, stylish and surprising -- all in a good way.

After a complete renovation and rebranding in 2023, the hotel reopened with sleek interiors and creative touches. It's part of the Almanac Hotels group, which is known for high design and warm hospitality.

Rooms are spacious and smart. It's the kind of hotel where everything feels intentional and chic. They nailed all the details, from the elegant lighting to the custom furniture. I personally love the on-site restaurant and cocktail bar. Think moody interiors and standout menus.

Location-wise, it’s just off Wenceslas Square -- central and convenient. But the Almanac is set on a side street away from the busiest foot traffic.

🧭 PragueWise Tip: You're steps from Lucerna Passage here — one of Prague’s quirkiest spots, home to the upside-down horse sculpture and some cool late-night cafés. A great little detour when you want to avoid the crowds but still feel like you’ve discovered something. Then, go across the street and walk through the Světozor passage to find the lovely Franciscan Garden.

Mosaic House Design Hotel

Is this hotel the most surprising on this list?

Probably, but it shouldn't be.

I have long been a fan of Mosaic House and its fun, forward-thinking style and sustainability efforts -- and their perks.

Once a stylish hostel, it has reinvented itself into a full-fledged boutique hotel. It’s absolutely one-of-a-kind. The sort of place where you can find design, comfort, and welcoming service at a far more reasonable price than many on this list.

Rooms are thoughtfully put together with warm furnishings and a clean aesthetic, but it doesn't feel cold. The Mosaic also has some unique common spaces where you'll be tempted to linger. Check out the library café and interior courtyard.

It’s not a surprise that the hotel caught Michelin’s eye.

🧭 PragueWise Tip: Mosaic’s location is removed from the main tourist zone and has an authentic neighborhood vibe. For something unique, don't miss a visit to the nearby Sts. Cyril and Methodius Cathedral, where Czech paratroopers made their final stand after the WWII assassination of Nazi officer Reinhard Heydrich. The crypt now houses a small, powerful museum that many visitors miss.

Andaz Prague

Last but definitely not least, Andaz Prague brings a bold, modern spirit to this list of Michelin Key hotels in Prague.

It's in an elegant historic building called the former Sugar Palace. This was once home to the early 20th-century Sugar Industry Association. Today, the name sounds sweet, but the style is thoughtful and impressive.

A few details that stood out:

  • The lobby features a “Walk of Myths” corridor filled with subtle references to Czech legends like Golem, Libuše and Prince Bruncvík.
  • In the guest rooms, you’ll spot custom headboards or art pieces that nod to the city’s folklore as well. Details like stars, lions, and glass accents are inspired by Czech lore and craft.
  • The spaces are bold but not over the top or quirky. There's real quality and elegence here, think warm woods, marble, brass touches, and creative lighting. One of the design briefs described the mission as “myths and legends meet luxury lifestyle.”

🧭 PragueWise Tip: If you enjoy a cocktail, don’t miss the lounge at Andaz. They blend a mix of local herbs and Bohemian mythology into creative drinks that feel part alchemy, part art. Afterward, check out the Jindřišská Tower next door — the view from the top is one of Prague’s hidden gems.

Final Thoughts

Michelin Keys are awarded for more than just cleanliness and white-glove service. These hotels show that style, warmth, and soul matter just as much — maybe even more.

I’ve always believed that the right hotel in Prague can transform your trip. It’s not just about having a place to sleep and eat breakfast — it’s about how you feel while you’re there. These hotels prove that. Each one offers a stay that’s genuinely special.

And if you’ve read this far, you’re clearly the kind of traveler who cares about that too.

Whether you’re craving riverside views, peaceful monastic courtyards, or bold design with a local twist, there’s something here for you. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with any of them.
